KANSAS CITY, Mo. Authentic Thomas Vanek Jersey. - Milton Bradley stormed out of the Texas Rangers clubhouse after an 11-5 victory Wednesday night over Kansas City and bounded up four flights of stairs looking for Royals television announcer Ryan Lefebvre. Bradley, who was the designated hitter, heard what he considered derogatory remarks made by Lefebvre on a TV in the Rangers clubhouse. General manager Jon Daniels and manager Ron Washington were close behind and intercepted Bradley before he reached Lefebvre. "I dont want to get necessarily into the details," Daniels said. "He was upset. Someone who doesnt know him was passing judgment on TV. It was obvious he was hurt by the comments." Bradley never reached Lefebvre, although he was within about 20 feet of him in the TV booth before being led back down to the clubhouse. "There was no incident," Daniels said. Upon returning to the clubhouse, Bradley screamed at teammates and broke down in tears. "Im tired of people bringing me down," Bradley said. "It wears on you. I love you guys, all you guys. Im strong, but Im not that strong. All I want to do is play baseball and make a better life for my kid than I had." Several of Bradleys teammates consoled him after he calmed down. Lefebvre, who is the son of former major-league manager Jim Lefebvre, said he met with Daniels and Washington about his on-the-air comments, but did not talk to Bradley. Lefebvre said the comments were intended to praise Josh Hamilton, who missed nearly four years of professional baseball with cocaine and alcohol additions, rather than tear down Bradley. "It was a conversation about how Josh Hamilton has turned his life around and has been accountable for his mistakes," Lefebvre told The Associated Press. "Right now, it seems like the baseball world and fans are rooting for him. . It doesnt seem like Milton Bradley has done the same thing in his life." The oft-injured Bradley has a history of losing his temper. He slammed a plastic bottle at the feet of a fan in the right-field seats at Dodger Stadium in 2004 after someone threw it on the field. With San Diego in the pennant chase last September, he tore the ACL in his right knee when he was spun to the ground by Padres manager Bud Black, who was trying to keep him from an umpire. He was suspended for five games after slamming the bottle, and had a four-game suspension for tossing a bag of balls onto the field after an ejection. There was a dugout confrontation with Cleveland manager Eric Wedge during spring training in 2004 before getting traded to Los Angeles. Bradley claimed umpire Mike Winters baited the player into the confrontation and directed a profanity at him last September. Winters was suspended the final five days of the regular season and didnt work the postseason. "We werent singling out Milton Bradley," Lefebvre said. "We also spent a lot of time complimenting Milton Bradley, but thats not what he heard when he was in the clubhouse. "We werent tearing up Milton Bradley. I told (Washington and Daniels) this wasnt a Milton Bradley rip session, but just based on the pictures weve seen in this series of him walking to the dugout all the way to right field, dropping his bat, making gestures to the fans in right field and above the dugout and taunting them. Hes the only person in baseball I know that does that type of stuff." David Backes Premier Jersey. Chauncey Billups Jersey. PAUL, Minn. Newark, NJ (Sports Network) - Freshman James Bell led the way with a team-high 21 points, as No. 15 Villanova held on for a 60-57 win over Seton Hall in Big East action at the Prudential Center. Bell hit 4-of-6 from three-point range and Corey Fisher netted 12 points for Villanova (20-6, 8-5 Big East), which had lost two straight and five of eight coming into the contest. Antonio Pena posted 10 points and 12 boards for the Wildcats, who defeated Seton Hall for the ninth consecutive time. Jeremy Hazell had a game-high 25 points for Seton Hall (11-15, 5-9), which has lost three of its last four. Jordan Theodore added 10 points in defeat. With the game tied at 28-28 at the half, things stayed close throughout the entire second stanza. Bell hit from long distance to give his squad a 48-43 edge with 9:06 remaining and it appeared as if the Wildcats were going to cruise to victory after Bell was fouled from beyond the arc and drained all three at the stripe for a nine- point lead, 57-48, with 5:34 to play. Then up by four with 3:442 remaining, Theodores two free throws narrowed the Pirates deficit to two with 2:14 on the clock, but Bell answered with a layup to restore Villanovas four-point lead with 1:40 left. Dirk Nowitzki Jersey Herb Popes two makes at the line would again get Seton Hall to within a pair, 59-57, but it wouldnt get any closer. Pena was fouled and made 1-of-2 from the line with 11 seconds to play, giving the Wilcats a three-point lead and Hazells attempted triple from well beyond the arc was off the mark and Villanova prevailed. In a back-and-forth first half, Maalik Wayns three-pointer put Villanova up 28-22 with 3:09 before the break. However, a jumper and layup by Theodore sandwiched around a pair of free throws by Hazell tied the contest at 28-all at the intermission. GAME NOTES:The Wildcats improved to 62-36 in the all-time series against the Pirates...Villanova made 48.8 percent of its shots from the field and 6-of-13 from three-point territory....Seton Hall shot a woeful 32.8 percent and 4- of-26 from beyond the arc. Andrew Engelage is making a habit out of shutting teams down - and his Windsor Spitfires are making a habit out of winning this season, a habit they have no interest in breaking. Niklas Backstrom Premier Jersey. A second-period goal from Ryan Ellis was all Engelage needed to give the Spitfires their sixth straight victory, blanking the Belleville Bulls 1-0 in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night. The shutout was Engelages third of the season and second in the last three games. The Oshawa, Ont., native has a goals-against average of 2.00 over 11 games, sitting in second place amongst OHL goaltenders behind Mississauga-St. Michaels Majors netminder Chris Carrozzi (1.85). The win keeps Windsor (11-1-0-0) comfortably atop the OHL standings. The Spitfires have outscored their opponents 19-9 during their current six-game win streak. Their 22 points give them a seven-point cushion over the rest of the league. Elsewhere in the OHL, it was: Kitchener 3, Sudbury 2 (OT); Owen Sound 4, Erie 1; Plymouth 4, Oshawa 3 (SO); Saginaw 4, Niagara 2; and Sarnia 5, Barrie 2. At Belleville, Ont., Engelage stopped all 22 shots he faced, while Mike Murphy made 35 saves for the Bulls (7-4-0-1), who have only won one of their last five games after starting the season with six wins and one loss. Rangers 3, Wolves 2 (OT) At Kitchener, Ont., Myles Barbieri scored 1:58 into overtime to lift the Rangers over Sudbury for their sixth straight win. Scott Timmins opened the scoring in the first period and Ben Shutron added a power-play goal for Kitchener (7-2-0-1). Patrik Lusnak and John McFarland replied for the Wolves (5-2-1-1). The 2008 titlist Nadal blew past talented Japanese Kei Nishikori 6-2, 6-4, 6-4 on the famed Centre Court at the All England Club. Nadal handled Nishikori in 2 hours, 5 minutes by breaking his Japanese counterpart five times in 14 tries. Nishikori settled for only one break in a losing effort. Hes won 25 of his last 26 matches overall on tour. Nadal is ranked No. 1 in the world but seeded second here behind reigning champ Roger Federer. The powerful Spaniard is playing here for the first time since beating Federer in a final for the ages two years ago. Nadal missed last years edition of the worlds most prestigious tennis tournament because of tendinitis in his knees. The Mallorcan Nadal captured his fifth French Open title three weeks ago, giving him a seventh major championship. Hes reached three of the last four Wimbledon finals, losing to Federer in 2006 and 2007 before besting him in 08. Up next for Nadal will be talented Dutchman Robin Haase, who handled American JJames Blake 6-2, 6-4, 6-4 on Day 2. TORONTO -- Jean-Sebastien Giguere was embarrassed to admit he has not spent much of his Olympic break actually watching the Games. Authentic Frank Gore Jersey. His excuse is simple and understandable, considering part of his vacation away from the Toronto Maple Leafs was used to relocate his young family across the continent. He does not have a television. The 32-year-old goaltender, acquired in a trade with the Anaheim Ducks two weeks before the Vancouver Olympics, took possession of his new house in Toronto on Tuesday, one day before returning to practice with the Leafs on Wednesday. Some items appear to have gotten lost in the shuffle. "My son made a snowball yesterday, he was all excited," Giguere said with a smile. "Its going to be different for us, too, just getting them dressed. We couldnt find their toques. It was a mess, you know?" The team to which he has returned is in a similar state. Toronto stumbled into the break on a two-game losing streak, tumbling to last place in the Eastern Conference standings, only five points ahead of the Edmonton Oilers for last place in the NHLs overall standings. New faces have been added, with the promise more will be on the way when the NHL trade deadline tolls at 3 p.m. ET on March 3. The future is uncertain, highlighted by the fact Giguere said he has the house only through the rest of the season. Everyone, he said, has something to prove. "We need to put the past in the past and forget about it," Giguere said. "Just really focus on the future of this team, you know? And from what Ive seen, the 10 days I was here, theres a lot of quality young guys, a lot of talent and a lot of energy." The Leafs were put through an energetic practice at their west-end Toronto facility on Wednesday, even while coach Ron Wilson and forward Phil Kessel were on the other side of the country, leading the U.S. to a 2-0 win against Switzerland in the quarter-final round of the Olympic hockey tournament. They will return at some point, along with fellow Olympians Tomas Kaberle and Jonas Gustavsson, to find out just what kind of team the Leafs might be heading into the summer. Toronto has 21 games left on its schedule, and with the playoffs all but officially out of reach, it is reasonable to assume that some players will need the home stretch to audition for future employment. "Its kind of almost like a new season," Toronto forward John Mitchell said. "Everybodys had some time off, time to recuperate. These 20 games are important for everybody, myself especially, so youre going to look at every game as a very important one." Mitchells dressing room stall, coincidentally, is nestled right in between those belonging to forwards Alexei Ponikarovsky and Lee Stempniak, two players most often rumoured to be on their way out of town. "You see stuff on TSN, because you want to watch highlights, so youre going to get wind of stuff, for sure," Mitchell said. "Its really out of your hands. I cant say whats going to happen, but thats the nature of the business -- people get moved." Forward Jamie Lundmark was moved just before the roster freeze, picked up on waivers just as the Calgary Flames were attempting to send him back to the AHL. The former first-round draft pick is used to uncertainty, having been bounced from the NHL to the minors and, briefly, to Russia. "Ive been on different teams that have moved nine, 10 guys at the deadline, so its nothing new to me," Lundmark said. "But its my first day here, so I dont really know whats going on. Well find out in the next couple of days." Toronto resumes its schedule March 2 against the Carolina Hurricanes. "Were all playing for something here," Giguere said. "But first and foremost, were playing to try to make this team a competitive team until the end of the season. We have 21 games to make a statement." Authentic Drew Brees Jersey. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Yadier Molina and pinch hitter Brian Barden each had an RBI, while veteran Chris Carpenter tossed seven innings of one-hit ball, as the St. Johan Franzen Jersey. Jimmer Fredette Swingman Jersey.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills have placed guard Kraig Urbik on the season-ending injured reserve list and promoted guard Chad Rinehart from their practice squad.NEW ORLEANS - Hornets rookie Julian Wright sat in front of his locker with a bag of ice wrapped around his right wrist, which was sore for all the right reasons. Thats from dunking, Wright said, a reference to three alley-oop jams. Wright had career highs of 20 points and eight rebounds in about 30 minutes as a reserve Friday night, helping the Hornets win their third straight game, 107-96 over the New Jersey Nets. I feel like Ive learned a lot, the nuances and things that really make it much easier to make the transition in terms of being effective, said Wright, who spent the first half of the season mostly watching from the bench. Its not just God-given ability. Chris Paul led the way with 25 points and 16 assists as the Hornets won for the fifth time in six games. In keeping with a growing trend this season, several of Pauls assists came on alley-oop lobs to Tyson Chandler, who finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Wright, the 13th overall pick in last summers draft, has seen an uptick in playing time the past two games with starting forward David West (ankle) sitting out. He has responded with career highs in scoring in each game, starting with his 13 points in a victory over Atlanta last Wednesday night. Called Ju-Ju by teammates, he was 8-of-9 shooting against the Nets, mixing in mid-range jumpers, a three-pointer and tip-ins with his authoritative, crowd-pleasing dunks. Ju-Ju brings a lot of energy to us, Paul said. He can really shoot the ball well now. .. As he continues to play hell get more and more confident. Richard Jefferson scored 27 and Vince Carter had 19 points and 10 assists for New Jersey, which has lost four straight and five of six while trying to cling to the eighth and final playoff seed in the Eastern Conference. Devin Harris scored 17 for the Nets and Nenad Krstic 14. Acknowledging he was frustrated, Jefferson showed little interest in going into great depth about New Jerseys slide. Blah, blah, blah. Blah. Cliche one, cliche two, sports cliche No. 4 and sports cliche No. 7, Jefferson said. We didnt do a very good job. We didnt give 110 per cent. Weve got to give it all we got. Weve got to leave it all on the court, and we didnt do that. Peja Stojakovic scored 15 points for New Orleans and helped the Hornets, who trailed the entire first haalf, surge into the lead for good with a 16-2 run to open the third quarter. Ryan Callahan Jersey He and Paul each converted three-point plays by hitting fades as they were fouled. Morris Peterson added a transition three-pointer during the run. The Nets briefly halted the surge when Harris made a driving layup and Jefferson a driving dunk, but the Hornets began to pull away again when Paul found Chandler on two straight alley-oop dunks, with Paul using a mesmerizing behind-the-back dribble on the second before throwing up the lob. Early in the fourth, Wright made a steal and threw down his second alley-oop while running the break with Jannero Pargo. Wright then hit a jumper, soared in for another alley-oop from Paul, then hit a three-pointer a few possessions later to make it 89-71. In the second half we came out with a lot more energy offensively and defensively, and a lot of that had to do with Julian, Paul said. He came out and got some deflections, steals and got us out in transition, and thats when were at our best. New Jersey scored the first eight points of the game and shot 83 per cent through the first 7 1/2 minutes to take a 20-13 lead. Jefferson had 14 of his points in the first quarter and Carter had 13 points in the first half, including a scoop shot on a spinning drive through a crowd and an off-balance 20-foot jumper as the shot clock ran out. The Nets made only three of 14 shots to open the second quarter, however, allowing the Hornets to close to 46-43 at halftime. We had a great start tonight, but between Paul and Stojakovic they quickly got back in it, Nets coach Lawrence Frank said. Julian Wright obviously gave them a huge lift. .. The key is its a 48-minute game. Notes: Hornets head coach Byron Scott said he was uncertain if West would play Saturday night in Houston. Hornets F Bonzi Wells missed his third straight game with a bruised Achilles tendon and Scott said he was not expected to play until the Hornets returned home to play San Antonio on Wednesday. .. The victory guaranteed the Hornets (42-19) their first winning record since 2002-03, their first season in New Orleans. .. The Nets have lost 14 of 16 on the road. Their next two games are at Dallas and at Houston. .. Attendance was 17,225, the Hornets fifth sellout in eight home games. ' ' '

Tweet The encouraging news for the Colorado Avalanche is that goaltender Craig Anderson will need treatment for his injured right knee but wont require surgery. Magglio Ordonez Jersey. Still, the Avalanche announced Wednesday that Anderson would be placed on injured reserve retroactive to Tuesday and will be sidelined indefinitely. The team wouldnt reveal the specific nature of the injury. "Its going to require some treatment and rehab, and we hope to have him back as soon as possible," coach Joe Sacco told the Denver Post after the team practiced at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, where the Avalanche will play the Flames on Thursday night. Peter Budaj will make his second start in a row in goal. Veteran John Grahame, who was recalled from the Lake Erie Monsters in the American Hockey League, will be his backup. "I will probably play Peter the majority of the games, but I will see how the schedule plays out, like I always do, and see how Peters rest is and make sure hes feeling fresh," Sacco said. Anderson was re-examined in Denver on Wednesday after hurting his knee Tuesday night in warm-ups at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver before Colorados 4-3 overtime loss to the Canucks. Anderson grimaced in pain and held his knee after injuring it during a drill in which he moved from side to side while attempting to stop close-in shots from teammates. He needed help getting off the ice and wasnt able to put any weight on his right leg while being escorted to the trainers room. Budaj was scheduled to start against the Canucks, but he didnt have a backup because Anderson wasnt able to return to the bench. Budaj, 28, has gone 1-0-1 this season with a 3.84 goals-against average and .864 save percentage. He played in a career-low 15 games last year and finished with a 5-5-2 mark, one shutout, a 2.64 average and .917 save percentage. Budaj started four games in a row Dec. 3-9 last season after Anderson suffered a neck injury and posted a 2-2-0 record with one shutout. Anderson has a 3-4-0 record this season with a 3.15 GAA and .907 save percentage. He played a huge role a year ago when the Avalanche improved by 26 points in the standings, finished second in the Northwest Division and took the San Jose Sharks to six games in the first round of the playoffs. Anderson, who signed a two-year, $3.625 million contract as a free agent on July 1, 2009, posted a 38-25-7 record with seven shutouts, a 2.64 GAA and .917 save percentage. He set franchise records for games and starts (71 each), minutes (4,235), shots faced (2,233) and saves (2,047). Grahame, 35, was born in Denver. His parents are former NHL goalie and current University of Denver senior associate athletic director Ron Grahame and Charlotte Grahame, the Avalanches vice president of hockey administration. The Avalanche signed John Grahame as a free agent on March 2, 2010. He went 4-7-3 with a 3.44 average in 14 games with Lake Erie last season and has a 2-2 record this year with a 2.46 average and .910 save percentage. Grahame has played in 224 NHL games with Boston, Tampa Bay and Carolina. He owns a 97-86-18 career record with 12 shutouts and a 2.79 average.
